The Atlantic Deanery

The Diocese of Long Island

In the Episcopal Church, A Parish is not a congregation onto its own, rather we all belong to a Diocese, and our unity and mission as a Church is found In our Diocesan  Bishop.  This is the historic structure handed down by the Apostles of Jesus.   In the Diocese of Long Island, we also have regional subgroup known as a Deanery.  Within a Deanery, there is regular support and fellowship among the Clergy, and some shared ministries that we do better together than apart.  The Atlantic Deanery is comprised of Churches along the Great South Bay of Long Island, in Southern Eastern Suffolk County.
